Tiraz Centre’s first exhibition focused on the unique embroidery techniques of Bethlehem and the pioneering women who mastered and carried them across Palestine. It highlighted hallmark practices such as the distinctive couching stitch, alongside Bethlehem’s historic role as a religious center and a thriving hub of specialized craft production, where highly skilled artisans developed refined textile traditions that became widely recognized and sought after.
