Tiraz Centre has been awarded the Research and Innovation Award by Petra National Trust in recognition of its interactive digital screen, an innovative tool that enhances public engagement with the textile heritage of the Arab world. The screen allows visitors to navigate a digital map and explore the traditional dress, textiles, and embroidery traditions of different regions across Jordan, Palestine, Syria, Lebanon, Iraq, Egypt, Yemen, and Saudi Arabia. By combining research, technology, and visual storytelling, the project makes decades of documentation and knowledge more accessible to diverse audiences and offers visitors a dynamic way to discover the rich textile traditions of the region.
