Tiraz Centre is pleased to share that Widad Kawar was honoured by Petra National Trust with an award recognizing her lifetime of achievement in heritage preservation. Presented as part of the Trust’s annual awards, the recognition celebrates decades of dedication to documenting, preserving, and promoting the traditional dress and textile heritage of Jordan, Palestine, and the wider Arab world. The award was accepted on her behalf by Mary Kawar during the ceremony.
